Bundle alert

Changes to Bundle and Save Bundles
The bundles continue to be a great way to save a few dollars, however, beginning with the 2016-2017 annual catalogue, Stampin' Up! will be making the following changes to our Bundle and Save program.
  •  Bundles will no longer carry over outside the life of the publication. Once the sales period ends, the bundle will no longer be available at its special pricing, even if the components of the bundle are still available. There are quite a few bundled products on the list.  In some cases the items will still be available separately in the new catalogue but the special bundled discount price is only for that one catalogue so the special price is ending on the 31st May to make way for a bunch of other bundled products. So if there are any bundles you were after, please get them now so you will not be disappointed.
  • Bundles will now be offered at a 10 percent discount. Since first introducing the Bundle and Save bundles, Stampin' Up! have increased the number of coordinating products offered in bundles and thus, in order to continue the Bundle and Save program, it is necessary to reduce the discount.

These are only a few of the bundles that will still be available in the new catalogue but no longer bundled. Get in quick if you want to save 15% on bundles before 1st June

Wow I am overwhelmed

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am overwhelmed with peoples generosity. It just blows me away to see people rally around when they are asked to do something for charity. This afternoon I met 2 new lovely ladies that answered my request for help making cards for the first time. One of them came with some cards for me and the other with some yummy bikkies. Thanks Kathy and Rae.

It was a full room and everyone got busy making their cards and then finally making some envelopes. 75 cards, wow how about that. Also Nikki a friend of mine bought a huge bag of cards that she had made. I am so grateful for all the lovely generous people.

These are a few of the cards we made today.

These are my lovely ladies that came and helped me.

I have now boxed up all the cards for North Queensland Rural Family Services. The final count that will be going to them is 240 cards and envelopes. I will pass these on to one of the ladies from Quota International of Carindale to deliver.

My other charities have not been forgotten, because of the help I have had, the cards that I take to Ronald McDonald House each month will be delivered next week. They will be thrilled as usual at getting another huge box of these beauties. I may even have enough left for Redlands Hospital. Stay tuned for some more days of card making, probably in July and I will start working on some Christmas ones.

79 cards made on Saturday

Another productive morning, thanks to a great bunch of ladies. We made 79 cards and I made up some more matching envelopes on my trusty Envelope Punch Board. Did I tell you I love my Envelope Punch Board, yup probably did.

These are what our lovely ladies made on Saturday and I am just preparing some new designs for this afternoons session.

Thank you so much ladies for giving me your precious time. I know all the recipients will be very grateful. Now I must get a jiggle on as I need to prepare for this afternoon.

If card making for a cause interests you pop me an email I am always happy to have an extra pair of hands.

During a charity event last weekend put on by The Paper Angels to assist Quota International of Carindale in raising funds for North Queensland Rural Family Support Services, one of the ladies at my table suggested that we should get together and make cards for the North Queensland Rural Family Support Services, as this was possibly another way we could help.
We decided to run with this idea and I have added to my calendar a few days and evenings planned for these events. If you are keen to make some cards, then get in touch with me.

You don't have to be creative, as you will be guided every step of the way.
Come join us!!

Thank you for your support

Stampin' Up! which I am an Independent Demonstrator for, has been committed to giving back and making a difference since it began, and in 2003, they officially launched their Making a Difference program. Some of the ways they do this is to..
  • Support Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) through annual financial donations.
  • Encourage demonstrators to make and donate cards to local RMHC Houses.
  • Raise funds to help people affected by natural and other disasters.
For the last few years I have been going once a month to Ronald McDonald House in Herston, Brisbane and teaching cards to any of the residents that need a break from the daily hospital visits or the long waiting times for babies to arrive or grow big enough to take home. On these card making days I always take a huge box of cards with me to donate. Some of these cards have been donated by other demonstrators and passed on to me. One very generous demonstrator Debbie Blake, who lives in Darwin posted me 3 boxes of cards last year. Isn't that wonderful.

The ladies in the office have these cards on hand for anyone that needs them, residents don't always have time to think of a birthday or anniversary, when there are more pressing things happening right now.So these cards are gratefully received.

Also Stampin' Up! received a letter from the Auckland branch of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) and I would like to share it with you where they express thanks for what New Zealand demonstrators have done to contribute.

Over the last few weeks I have been concentrating my efforts on making cards for North Queensland Rural Family Services and I want to send out a huge thank you to everyone that attended my card making days and helping make many gorgeous cards. Thank you, thank you, thank you... You have made a difference.

There will be more of these card making days, both for NQ and for Ronald McDonald House so if you want to come along and help, all you need to do is let me know.

Thank you for a great morning

The invite just went out yesterday and 4 people responded. I had my studio set up and each person was shown how to make a card. One of the ladies had never made a card in her life before I sat with her and showed her how to create the cards and she only took a few minutes to master it and looked like she had been crafting for years. I think she is a natural.

We even had beautiful hand made envelopes, donated by one of our Paper Angels. Thanks Liz Collett they looked beautiful.

I had set up 3 stations, each station had a different card. After I gave them a quick tutorial on how to create each card, the ladies set to work and made a few each of the cards at each station and then moved to the next one.

We had an absolutely fun, productive morning, all up 72 cards made, envelopes matched and packed in cello bags ready to go.

A very, very big thank you to all that came to help. This is only the first of many, so if you are keen to help, please contact me so I can organise the next free card making day.

My team meets the challenge

Very soon we will be launching the new 2016-17 catalogue.

My little team shared some of the highlights of this new catalogue last week. One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is getting to see and play with the products before they are released to the public. Some of the team managed to attend our OnStage event on the Gold Coast, this was a one day event to show us what to expect to find in the new catalogue and to get our hands on some of them.

Wow Leisha Ward independent stampin up demonstrator won a prize Leisha Ward independent stampin up demonstrator

Leisha one of my new Team members was the first to win a stamp set. Do you think she is excited?

Actually I came home with 3 new stamp sets and the new In Colour Write Markers, plus lots of card samples.

I didn't want the rest of the team to miss out on some of the excitement and fun of a new catalogue that we had on the Gold Coast. So we had our team meeting while watching the On Line show and playing with some of the new products. I set up the studio to replicate a mini event, putting up some of the samples and items that I had received on the day.

I also had to set up a bed for Kerry as she had a bad accident and couldn't sit for too long. Looked so cosy, I wished it could stay.

In preparation for the meeting I gave them all a challenge. We have just finished Sale-a-Bration and some of the Free stamp sets are gorgeous. The challenge was for them to make a card using one of their favourites. This is what they came up with.

Leisha Ward created these lovely cards

Kerry Kelly has a way with Aqua painters.

Sarina Burke my newest team member used the Bokeh technique for her challenge.

I am so thrilled with how the event turned out.We oohed and ahhed over the new catalogue and played around with the products that I had won.

And many more retiring

Not long now before everything on the retirement list will be no longer available. So here are a few more products that I love and if you want them. get in quick.

And Many More Stamp set

Love this stamp set and the variety of fonts!  It is $35.25 (down from $47!) in clear mount or $49.50 (down from $66) in wood mount!

At our charity event last week, we popped in gorgeous silver envelope liners that came with the kit. However if you don't have a kit then why not grab these framelits and make your own. Jazz up your envelopes with the Envelope Liner Framelits $41 with coordinating Designer Series Paper. These are now very low in inventory.

I am putting in a order tomorrow so if anyone needs anything from the Retiring list or from the Clearance rack, please email me or call and I shall add it to my order.

Also just a reminder that there is only till the 31st May till the old catalogue is gone. June 1 starts a new catalogue year.
