Thank you for a great morning

The invite just went out yesterday and 4 people responded. I had my studio set up and each person was shown how to make a card. One of the ladies had never made a card in her life before I sat with her and showed her how to create the cards and she only took a few minutes to master it and looked like she had been crafting for years. I think she is a natural.

 

We even had beautiful hand made envelopes, donated by one of our Paper Angels. Thanks Liz Collett they looked beautiful.

I had set up 3 stations, each station had a different card. After I gave them a quick tutorial on how to create each card, the ladies set to work and made a few each of the cards at each station and then moved to the next one.

We had an absolutely fun, productive morning, all up 72 cards made, envelopes matched and packed in cello bags ready to go.

Creating Watercolor Backgrounds Using Your Clear Block

Everyone that comes to my classes each week will know how I love techniques that incorporating these techniques into making unique cards.

Learn how you can create a watercolor background using markers and your clear stamp block. Brian from the Stampin' Up teeam shows you just how simple it is.



It all looks pretty easy doesn't it? I think I will have to have a play with this idea, so stay tuned and you might see some of my variations on this technique.

Charity Christmas Card Workshops

We had the first of our charity days at Carina Leagues Club last Sunday.  It was a wonderful day, all the projects were beautiful and everyone loved what they created out of this tag kit.  

All the Paper Angels came in early and set up the tables...

arranged the raffles...

and the Display Boards.

Then it was heads down and the fun began. 

To complete the day all the raffles were excitedly claimed. Stampin' Up! generously donate all the raffle prizes for our charity events, they are such a giving company.

Option 2 $75 this includes Hooray It's Your Day kit PLUS the matching stamp set.
Both options include afternoon tea.

Using bleach on cards

Yes you did read that right. Using bleach on cards is a great technique and one that I am teaching in my next class. I have been busy making up samples of what the bleach does to the colour of the card. You will see in the picture below, how some colours change dramatically where others just fade.

Looking at the top row, the Soft Suede has turned a dark yellow, the Sahara Sand has also turned yellow, but much lighter and wow look at the chocolate chip, it has completely changed to green.
