Cotton Paper Flowers
I just had to share this video with you. Many of you will know
how I love making the scrunchy flowers, using my bone folder and distressing the paper till it can be pulled apart. Well Stampin' Up! has brought out some interesting paper. It is Cotton Paper and scrunches up beautifully, it comes in all the colours so everything matches. In this video they are using the Floral Frames Collection.

Weekly Deals 5th August - 11th August
Another week has gone by and that means another lot of Weekly Deals.
I'm very tempted with the Squares Collection Framelits. In the past I have just cut a square by hand but often I have wanted to place a square in the card itself as a window and have not been able to do this. Also like the idea that I could make frames on a card. Umm what to do!
If you are keen on the Hearts Border punch, now is a good time to grab it or any of the other products email me and I shall put in the order or get it sent straight to you by ordering online

Weekly Deals 29th July - 4th August
The Weekly Deals again have a great range of products. Is there anything there that is a must have for you?
Maybe the gorgeous new Shaped Heart Punch or the Neutrals Envelope Paper. Those that have attended my classes will have seen me use the In Colour Envelope Paper which is double sided, plain on one side and patterned on the other, we used them as layers on our cards as well as envelopes.
This thin, text-weight paper makes perfect envelopes: it's stronger than regular paper and less bulky than cardstock.
The Neutrals Envelope Paper comes in 3 colours: Kraft (5 sheets), Whisper White (10 sheets), Very Vanilla (5 sheets)

An Apple is for eating - yes/no!!
What is this crazy woman saying in her title? An Apple is for eating - of course. I love them especially the Pink Lady and if you have ever been to New Zealand you will find some of the crispest and juiciest apples.
So why the "No"? If you are an Apple user you will know that they are not juicy or crisp but you love, love love them, so intuitive and easy to use and mostly safe from virus attacks.
Ok, stop rambling Zena and tell your story!!
Before I was a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I worked in IT and was very familiar with working on computers. So I am often called upon by my Paper Angels team members to help them set up their blogs or write a few lines of html for them. Last night I was called upon to help Shelagh with a few problems she was having on her blog.
I am a Windows user and Shelagh is an Apple user, soooo steep learning curve. If I want to delete a letter I hit delete and the letter in front of my cursor is deleted. With the Apple it is the letter behind the cursor. So funny, spent so much time deleting the wrong letters. Then comes the Command button. If I want to copy something I highlight it and press Control C, the Apple is Command C. All sounds simple doesn't it but it made for some interesting mistakes.
Lots of laughter from Liz and Shelagh who are always telling everyone how smart I am with computers. It made them feel better seeing me struggle with the different commands. We finally got a couple of posts sorted out, with lots of note taking and even imparting some html coding for Shelagh to use.
So I think I shall stick with Windows and eat my juicy apples, unless Santa brings me an IPad haha.
Have a great day...

Spritzing technique class
So messy but so much fun. I love spritzing, each card looks so different even though each person makes the same one. We used the Striped Scallop Thinlits Die and the Spritz mask from the Hooray It's Your Day Card Kit.
This card was partly CASED (copy and share everything) from a good friend who had helped me make some cards for display at our Charity Event. I liked it so much I decided to it needed to be shared with my class.

Let's start at the very beginning - Day 40
What a wild weekend I have had and in more ways than one. I went to a Stampin' Up! Convention on the Gold Coast and the weather was "wild". We saw heaps of new products to make your imagination run "wild" and a new Catalogue that I am just "wild" about. I also got an award, I can't say "wild" in this sentence I need to say "Ecstatic". I felt very honoured and I will tell you about that in another post.
Today is the last of the card ideas, way back on day one I asked... "Do just want to make cards or are you a scrap booker as well? Luckily the two overlap but of course scrapbooking requires a few more items to start."
Well now is the time to start scrapbooking, I will give you a supply list and some easy layouts over the next few weeks. Card makers don't despair as I said they do overlap, so I will be showing you what you can do with elements on the page to make it into a card.
Here are the last cards for now. I randomly stamped the images and the sentiments over the Whisper White card. I again used up my bits of card left over and made banners. You can't quite see but I even tucked bits of the Red ribbon in there as well.
Notice on these last two I have used both sentiments, the one from Sassy Salutations randomly stamped and the one from Wetlands as the focal sentiment.

Let's start at the very beginning - Day 39
Can a simple one layer card look classy? You bet it can. Stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment on a strip of Whisper White card. Stamp randomly all over the strip, cut the end to form a banner. I wrapped ribbon around and tied a bow on the top of this banner. Adhere the banner to the card base with dimensionals and as they say "Bobs your uncle"

Let's start at the very beginning - Day 38
Having so much fun despite the weather. I will post a few photos of what we have been up to when I get home.
Until then here are some cute little gift cards to make. The technique I used for these is called One Sheet Wonder. The only difference I have done is not use an A4 sheet of card. I used a half sheet. I stamped randomly using 2 colours of flowers and the happy birthday sentiment. I then cut them into squares to make the card front. I layered each one on a different colour but tied each one with the Real Red ribbon.
Don't they look sweet. I only made 3 but how nice would it be to make 6 and with matching envelopes.

Let's start at the very beginning - Day 37
I am in the midst of a wonderful few days with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators. We are at the Gold Coast Convention and there are some great new products coming out soon. I have had a peek at the new Catalogue and all I can say is WOW. You will have to wait till the 2nd of June to get a glimpse of it yourself. You will love it.
I hope these cards will keep you occupied for a while. I wanted to show how even the smallest of strips of cards can be used. I love how they all coordinate together. Don't the pearls look cute arranged in the centre. The second card is another version of the same design, just using different colours and strips.

Let's start at the very beginning - Day 36
I would really love to hear if you have been creating any cards from my Let's Start at the Very Beginning posts. So please comment and let me know how you are going. I love to hear from other crafters.
Here is another couple of easy to create cards. Another way to use up DSP and tissied up with a strip of pearls.

Weekly deals 29th April - 4th May
Oh my word I can't believe we are nearly into May. I am very excited this week as I am heading off to a Stampin' Up! convention down the coast. I can't wait, as we get to see new products coming out and best of all we get to see the NEW CATALOGUE yay!!!
Here are the Weekly Deals for this week, as I will be away till Monday if you want to purchase anything from them you can go online and they will be delivered directly to your door or you can email me, but I won't get to order them till I get back. If you were thinking of doing something with a cupcake theme then here is the perfect time to grab a bargain with the Cupcake Builder punch. I love the Whisper White ribbon as you can dye it any colour to match the card, just by using the Ink Refills.
