Christmas class

As we are getting closer to Christmas I thought it might be the right time to start incorporating some Christmas cards into my classes. So this net class will be all Christmas themed. To make it even more fun I have added a few fun folds.

Wednesday 21st September 10am
Friday 23rd September  7pm
Cost: $10
You will make 3 beautiful Christmas cards

Please RSVP with the class you wish to attend so I have enough kits prepared.
Please bring your ‘basic kit’ to each class. This includes a paper trimmer, tape runner, double sided foam tape, multipurpose liquid adhesive and scissors.

 * If you do not have a kit, there will be kits available for sale.

Looking back

I had to find some photos for a friend of mine and that led to digging up a lot of happy memories and finding things I had forgotten about. I thought I would share this project with you all again. I did post it several years ago, but it is such a happy memory I feel the need to share it again.

Our very dear friends had invited us to their 50th wedding anniversary. We were thrilled to be going and I wanted to give them something special even though it was stipulated "no presents".

The invitation had a photograph of them on their wedding day, so I decided that I would make them Thank You cards using this photo. One of our Paper Angels Anna Wheaton had created a box and I am very partial to boxes, so, I rejigged it to make it fit the cards.

I scanned the invitation photo and then did a bit of playing around on the computer to get it to sit just so. I then printed the pieces out on Sahara Sand Card. The Thank You cards were made using Sahara Sand card. The sentiment was stamped then punched out with the little Curly Label punch. They loved them. Such a fond memory.

I am mixing some Christmas cards in with this class as we are starting to get to that time of year where Christmas is just around the corner.

We will also be making a card using the Ronald McDoanld stamp set.

More visitors from the garden...

You can tell it is Spring, all the creatures are stirring. Another little critter was making its way to my craft room door this morning. Looks like everyone wants to comes to my classes.

A little more manageable than yesterdays visitor. He is a Red Triangle Slug. You can't see his sides but they have a red line running down them. The triangle on his back has a small hole and I thought he may have been hurt, but I did some research and found that it is his breathing hole. How amazing!!!

This is what Mr Google says....
The Red Triangle Slug is usually found grazing on microscopic algae growing on the surface of smooth-barked eucalypt trees, leaving behind scalloped tracks as it goes. If given the chance, it will also remove bathroom mould.

So, as though that wasn't enough from Mother Nature I get blessed with a Blue Tongue Lizard. This one was not trying to come to classes, I disturbed him in the garden. Isn't he lovely. He started to flatten himself so he could escape under the piece of timber nearby.
