After a hectic but lovely last two months of Charity Christmas Card workshops for our Footprint Bereavement Program I was thrilled to receive my first Christmas card. The lovely thing about this card is that it is from a friend and fellow demonstrator, Leisha Ward and it is using the stamp set that we used at all the workshops, Hearts Come Home Bundle.
I haven't had time yet to post all the projects we made, so keep watching this space. However I did want to show you what my beautiful Christmas card looks like. How clever was she to make this into a bauble, the gold foil shines through the stars. I just love it and my photo doesn't do it justice, it is so pretty. Looks like I'll have to get a jiggle on and start sending some out soon or Christmas will have come and gone.

Cancelled for a good cause
I'm so sorry to my lovely ladies that come to my card classes. There are no card classes again this week as my studio is still being used as the assembly area for the Carina Christmas Card Workshop. Thankfully the event is on Sunday and I will have my room back. It has been such a busy time as I was helping at many of the events around Brisbane and this means make a mess, clean up, make a mess clean up, repeat!!!
It is now too late to join in at Carina but maybe able to squeeze in at Wellington Point and if you are up on the Sunshine Coast then you are not too late for Cooroy.
Look at some of the displays we had at Pine Rivers and Thornlands.

The raffle prizes were all donated by Stampin' Up! and we are so grateful for all the wonderful goodies they give us each year.

Such a good cause, raising funds for our Footprint Program. This allows us to supply hospitals with cards and all the supplies to make a card or cards as a footprint record.

Bookings for Christmas Card Workshop closing soon
Don't panic, it is only the Bookings for the first two events which will be on the 21st and 22nd October. We need to get the ordering done in time to get them delivered in enough time to prepare all the kits.
So make sure you check the date of the one you want to attend and allow 2 weeks for ordering.
I am so excited! If you have been before you know what fun the day is and know what we are supporting with this event. If you are new it is about raising funds for our Footprint program, we supply hospitals with cards and all the supplies to make a card or cards as a footprint record. Whilst a footprint record may seem like a small gesture, it is a meaningful record that can be shared, as grieving parents come to terms with their loss.
I will be at most venues and look forward to guiding you through our gorgeous projects. The day runs from 10am to 4pm (Thornlands is 9am - 3pm) with a break for lunch which you can purchase in the venues bistro and the afternoon tea will be provided.
If you have any questions at all please contact me. I am taking bookings and payments now, so please book in ASAP to reserve your spot. Bookings will close 2 weeks before each event to ensure enough time to order all the materials.

Charity Christmas Card Workshop
Each year since 2008 the annual ‘Paper Angels’ Christmas Card Workshop takes place. These workshops raise funds to purchase and supply Footprint Cards to the Mater Mother's Brisbane Hospital Bereavement Programe and other hospitals as far up as the Sunshine Coast and down to the Gold Coast.
Sadly these cards are created so that the parents of babies that do not survive may take home a precious record of their child's footprint. Whilst a footprint record may seem like a small gesture, it is a meaningful record that can be shared, as grieving parents, grandparents and other family members come to terms with their loss.
If you would like to take part in one of these events, please email me and let me know which one is the best option for you to attend.

Earlier in the year Channel 7 gave people an insight into how we were able to help. I posted in back in January, if you would like to see the video follow the link to my previous page.
