Using Up DSP

What do you do with left over Designer Series Paper?

I promised myself I have to use up my DSP and stop just hoarding it. So I have been making heaps of cards and now have lots of left over pieces. These two cards are using retired Sahara Sand DSP and Berry Burst DSP. So it's finally all gone and I can buy some more yay!!!

This card I cut the Sahara Sand DSP into 1" strips and laid the strips on a layer of  Early Espresso, then raised this up on the Sahara Sand Base card. I stamped the "All Geared Up to Celebrate" sentiment from the Geared Up Garage Stamp Set. Finished it all off  by tying with Linen Thread

This card I used randomly cut on an angle, strips of Berry Burst DSP. This was adhered to Whisper White card layer and then raised up onto a Whisper White card base. The sentiment came from the Beautiful You stamp set, stamped onto the Timeless Label Punch

This was a 4" x 4" Calypso Coral card, the Night of Navy DSP was punched out using the Tailored Tag Punch and adhered on to a Whisper White layer. The sentiment is from one of my new favourites A Grand Kid stamp set

Still with the Calypso Card base and the Tailored Tag Punch this next one was created.

So what can I use DSP for now? Ah ha! why not Origami shirts? I got a bit carried away, once you start, you can't stop. If you want to see how I made these, head on over to my Facebook Page

Challenge entry #C105

This card was inspired by the Colour Inkspiration challenge on facebook #CI05 and is my entry in the new Colour Challenge.

The colours this fortnight are Blushing Bride, Soft Sky and Sahara Sand.

blushing bride, soft sky, sahara sand, zena kennedy independent stampin up demonstrator,

I used my Stampin Spots that I have inked up in all the colours. (Read previous post on why I have done this)

I tapped each of them on to a sheet of acetate, spritzed and then smooshed the card over the acetate.

Card made using blushing bride,Soft Sky, Sahara Sand by Stampin' up! Australia - zena kennedy,

I love how these colours blended together, giving a soft gentle feel to this card. A nice card for someone just to tell them you are thinking of them. This one will be going to a dear neighbour of mine that is going through a bad time at the moment.

My weekend jaunt

Our very best friends who live in New Zealand invited us to their 50th Wedding Anniversary. We could not say no to such a milestone. So we had to make a few quick changes in class timetables and book rental cars and flights.

It was only a short visit Thursday to Monday but I wouldn't have missed it for the world. We laughed and we cried and caught up on over 40years of memories. Now what do you give a couple who have everything? I decided to make a heap of Thank You cards for them. I needed a box to hold them and so I upscaled our lovely Paper Angel, Anna's box pattern to make it fit my cards. I scanned the invitation photo and then did a bit of playing around on the computer to get it to sit just so. I then printed the pieces out on Sahara Sand Card. The little cards were made using Sahara Sand card and Stamped then punched out with the little Curly Label punch. They loved them.
