Stampin' Up's retirement list and hostess code for the month

As each catalogue sales period comes to a close, Stampin' Up! provides a list of retiring stamps and accessories that will be discontinued from our product offering. Items on this Retired List will be available only while supplies last.  Don’t miss this last chance to get them! Check the Retired List tomorrow ( or maybe you are reading this and it is already tomorrow) see which sets and accessories you can’t do without.

You don't even need to wait for me to lodge your order. Stampin' Up have now come up with Online Ordering. All you need from me is a hostess code.

How does it all work?
Here are a few questions answered for you.

Q: How do you enter a hostess code?
A: You will enter the code in a new field under the special offers section of the online order shopping bag. http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/zenakennedy/   Select - Shop now -> Create account -> Add items to basket -> Checkout -> Apply hostess code -> Checkout -> Fill out card details etc
Q: Is the hostess code case sensitive?
A: No
Q: How long is a hostess code valid?
A: The hostess code is attached to the workshop order, so it is valid until the workshop order has closed. Orders left open for 30 days are automatically deleted by the system.
Q: What if you try to place an order with a code after the workshop has closed?
A: A message will alert you that the code is no longer valid you will need to contact me to placce your order or create a new hostess code.

Get in quick if you want any of the retiring products, everything goes so quickly.
Here is the Hostess code for this month, GKFMHD4W
I'm glad I bought this cutter. It is so good for large amounts of card/paper. I love it.

June classes now revealed

Now that the excitement of Convention is behind me, I am finally able to reveal the class you shall be doing in June. Drum roll please.....
It is the One Sheet Wonder. For those that are not familiar with this technique, it is a page that you create yourself by stamping randomly on card. Then the fun bit is cutting it up as backgrounds for your cards.
In this class you will complete 8 cards. It is a great way to get a stash of cards quickly.

June – Please BYO basic tool kits and adhesives
Wednesday 5th - 10am "To be advised" One Sheet Wonder - $20
Wednesday 12th - 7pm "To be advised" One Sheet Wonder - $20
Friday 14th - 7pm "To be advised" One Sheet Wonder - $20

Because of all the advance preparation for this class I will need to know if you are going to attend.
Please RSVP via email or phone to book your place.

Stampin Up Convention 2013

Stampin Up Convention 2013 started with a bang literally. The entertainment started with some very nifty drumming, I'm sure my arms would have fallen off if it had been me.

Stampin Up excels themselves each year with entertainment, prizes, displays and a great program. This is my second one and I am happily exhausted. I have made so many new friends and my mind is overflowing with ideas. I am not going to go on and on I will let the pictures speak the words. Needless to say I can't wait for next year when Convention is going to be in Melbourne.

Of course you can't have convention without a badge or two. So as we are Paper Angels I decided to make us all a Paper Angel. Aren't they cute. Also had to wear my little lady that I made for last year's convention. Although by the end of the week she is in need of a new hairdo.

One of the highlights of convention was the awarding of the Heart of Stampin Up Award to our lovely Rebecca Ross a fellow Paper Angel. It was so well deserved as she has been a true inspiration of what Stampin Up's Statement of the Heart is all about.

"To love what we do and share what we love,  as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments... in this we make a difference!"

Here she is with Shelli Gardner the CEO for Stampin Up.

Then of course we had to find out about My Digital Studio (MDS) this is taking us to a different level of card making. Now if you can't drag yourself away from your computer, there is yet another reason to stay on there. We created a cute little birthday card. Can't wait to try out making calendars, scrapbook pages and invitations. I can see heaps of potential with MDS just have to explore some more.

I wish I could show you all the hundreds of displays. We had Roses made from Filter paper, punched out birds in DSP nests and heaps and heaps of cards.

Such a great time and such a great company to be part of.

Swinging is fun

Well it wasn't a dance but anyone passing by would have thought there was a party going on last night. My Friday night girls are naughty, they had far too much fun.

The class technique for May was how to make a Swing card and also the Rock and roll technique. The first card was the Swing card. Instead of using the cutting tool, we used the Big Shot and the Window Frames Collection framelit die to cut the swing shape. Then it was embossed front and back and then embellished with the cute little umbrella from the Rain or Shine stamp set. The front of the swing had  rain drops with the sentiment, "thoughts of you" and the back had the umbrella with a sponged sun with the sentiment "rain or shine". The back of the card had the sentiment "makes me happy".
