Hello crafting friends, it has been quite some time since my last post. A lot has transpired during this period. Unfortunately, Covid-19 resulted in the cancellation of many of my card classes. On top of that, we encountered some additional challenges. Our home was severely affected by a terrible weather event, causing leakage in the roof and resulting in the growth of black mold. Consequently, our insurance company relocated us to a hotel room. Regrettably, many others found themselves in similar situations, so what was initially supposed to be a few weeks turned into a grueling six-month stay in the hotel.
Despite the numerous hardships we faced during these six months, I firmly believe that there is always a silver lining if we search for it. For me, the positive aspect of this ordeal came in the form of friends and creativity. A dear friend whom I met through my involvement with Stampin' Up! many years ago provided unwavering support and encouragement. Whenever I felt down, she knew exactly what to say to lift my spirits and keep my creative juices flowing. I found solace in crafting at a nearby coffee shop, where I was joined by my wonderful group of ladies. Eventually, when our home was restored to its previous state, we made the decision to downsize from our spacious and beautiful four-bedroom house, complete with my beloved craft studio, to a smaller residence.
