Our Three Occasions class

The Wonderful Moments is such a great stamp set. It not only caters for birthdays, but weddings and births. Imagine a bridal shower with the gorgeous bridal image, or a festive special 21st birthday celebration. I can see the pregnant mummy as a baby shower or maybe you don't want o see her tummy but love the image, why not cover her tummy up with a beautiful bunch of flowers. Such a versatile stamp set.

This is what we made in our classes...

This lovely bride was embossed with Copper Embossing Powder and layered on to our gorgeous Copper Foil Sheets. The sentiment on this card was used on the outside even though it is one that should be for the inside.

Wonderful Moments bride

This lovely mummy was embosseed with our Black Embossing Powder and then sponged over in Calypso Coral. She was layered on a piece of Calypso Coral. Thinking outside the square, you could use this as a Baby shower card and match the colour with the theme. Once again the inside sentiment was used on the outside.

Finally this birthday card was also embossed with Black Embossing Powder and this time sponged over in Calypso Coral and Coastal Cabana. It sat on a layer of Coastal Cabana.

Happy Birthday Wonderful Moments stamps set

I loved these three cards and I think all the class did too. There were a few variations on the birthday card as not everyone likes sequins. So we used a few different punches of flowers and leaves and added some Coastal Cabana embellishments. I think this is such a great stamp set and so versatile.

I am naughty

WHY!

I have just been reminded that I have not posted anything about our Wednesday and Friday classes. All I can say is that I have been having so much fun in my studio since I came home, I just got carried away with stamps, ink and paper.

We will be looking at what you can do with a couple of inches of left over Whisper White card stock We always seem to have little bits that we keep and they sit there calling for us to play with them. So hopefully I can give you some ideas about what to do with a little bit of Whisper White.

Team day - name tag

As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I am part of a wonderful team called the Paper Angels. These Angels are just that they are inspiring, sharing and hilarious. Over the years we have shared projects and ideas with each other and for the past few years Rebecca Ross and Anna Wheaton affectionately know as Wheatbix have been putting on the greatest Team days that even rival our Stampin' Up! On Stage events and conventions.

One of the things they ask for is that we make name tags and then during the course of the day set out looking at all the name tags and voting by means of a mini peg. This is a great way of meeting new people in the team and also spending some time reconnecting with others.

This was my name tag---the theme was Christmas, so I went for Christmas down under.

I stamped the girl from the Beautiful You stamp set and then gave her a bikini instead of her dress. The baubles behind came from the new stamp set Beautiful Baubles. I freehanded and cut out the surfboard, stamped flowers on it and then gave it a few layers of Clear Embossing

Quota's new Brisbane Craft and Gift Fair

For many years the Quota Craft and Gift Fair has been raising funds for Aspergers and Clef Pals charities and I have been a part of this fund raising right from the start. For the last few years I have been on the other side of the fund raising and actually having a stallbeing a stall holder.

Stampin" Up! has always supported this charity and is continuing to do so by having it's usual stall, with a large donation of Stampin" Up! products given to Quota for their raffles.

We will be having demonstrations on our stall throughout the day and of course the usual make and takes. There is nothing better than getting your hands on some stamp, inks and paper!

Both myself and Sarina Cardillo will be taking a workshop away from our stall. All money from these workshops goes directly to Quota's charities. So if you want to rty your hand at making a Christmas Bon Bon with my favourite tool, the Envelope Punch board, make sure you book in early as there are only 6 spots on Saturday and 6 spots on Sunday.

Sarina will be showcasing our newest tool and what a beauty that is. It is the Stamparatus, an innovative stamp placement tool collaboratively developed by Stampin' Up! and a team of Demonstrators from around the world.  This fabulous tool helps anyone get crisp, clean stamped images; plus you can make multiple projects in minutes - with an accuracy and consistency that makes stamping easier than ever before.

If you would like to purchase any of my retired stamps before the Craft Fair I am uploading a list on to my business Facebook page. I will be adding more each day so keep popping back. If you are in Brisbane you can pick up or I can arrange to hold them for pick up at the Craft Fair. If you wish them posted I can check out postage costs and let you know via email or Facebook message.

The Stamparatus class was so good

The new Stamparatus was very well received at both classes. It makes restamping and positioning so much easier.

The first card we placed the stamp on the diagonal, stamped with Lemon Lime Twist and then moved down a notch, restamped again then moved down a notch. By inking and moving down a notch we ended up with a nice diagonal decoration on the Whisper White layer. Even the Thanks banner was stamped using the Stamparatus. It certainly makes it easy to keep things straight.

The card was put together with a layer of Black behind the stamped layer, leaves from the Botanical Builder Framelits were cut out in Shaded Spruce. Behind the banner we frayed Calypso Coral ribbon and adhered the fringing to the back of the banner, then tied the left over threads into a bow and popped it on a piece of Calypso card. This was then slid in behind the banner.

Stamping using the Stamparatus

This Christmas card was made simple by pre cutting all the deer with the Dashing Deer thinlit die.

Dashing Deer card using the Stamparatus Why did I do this?

The secret of making a stack of these cards is, to place a piece of card stock on to the Stamparatus, now place the stamp on the card, press down the plate so that the stamp sticks to the plate, ink the stamp and then press down and stamp the deer.
Then by using the matching thinlit die, run through the Big Shot. You will end up with a template to place all the cut out deer into. (I keep this template in the stamp set for next time)

Each person popped their cut out deer into this template and then inked the stamp that was still on the Stamparatus, then stamped the deer using Smokey Slate. So quick and easy if you are making a few.

The last card we used the dolly peg out of the Crafting Forever stamp set and the sentiment from Myths and Magic stamp set. Once again the Stamparatus was used to line up the image and stamp then move along a notch and stamp again, then changing to Bermuda Bay for the middle image.

Wednesday and Friday classes begin again

It has been a while and I have missed all my classes and the friends that come along to each of the sessions. It will be so nice to see all the smiling faces again and also some new ones.

For those tuning in for the first time, I have been catching up with family in Canada and it has been a wonderful time exploring the tracks of Vernon and swimming in the lakes. I've also managed to spend some time with a Stampin' Up! demonstrator who welcomed me into her home. It has been hard getting back into the swing of things after this big 6 week break, however I am excited about this upcoming class as it is using our new tool the Stamparatus.
