As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I am part of a wonderful team called the Paper Angels. These Angels are just that they are inspiring, sharing and hilarious. Over the years we have shared projects and ideas with each other and for the past few years Rebecca Ross and Anna Wheaton affectionately know as Wheatbix have been putting on the greatest Team days that even rival our Stampin' Up! On Stage events and conventions.
One of the things they ask for is that we make name tags and then during the course of the day set out looking at all the name tags and voting by means of a mini peg. This is a great way of meeting new people in the team and also spending some time reconnecting with others.
This was my name tag---the theme was Christmas, so I went for Christmas down under.
I stamped the girl from the Beautiful You stamp set and then gave her a bikini instead of her dress. The baubles behind came from the new stamp set Beautiful Baubles. I freehanded and cut out the surfboard, stamped flowers on it and then gave it a few layers of Clear Embossing

| Some of the cards you will make |
Quota International of Carindale is a club that we as Stampin' Up! demonstrators are happy to support. Each year they have a Craft and Gift Fair that we have been attending for over 10 years and during those years we have also combined with them to raise monies for various charities.
Well today I am inviting you to attend another of their fundraisers. On Monday 2nd May (Public Holiday) we will be holding a Charity Cardmaking Day, to support North Queensland Rural Family Support Services.
Each person attending will make 27 cards, be provided with lunch and afternoon tea and take home extra craft supplies left over from the kit you will be supplied. The cost of this day is $60, I think this is great value for a day full of creativity and getting together with friends.
Print out the flyer below and invite your friends. We will need RSVP's and payment by 22nd April to allow us time to order in all the kits. Email me for further details.

The reason why...
There are many reasons why I love being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. Actually there are so many reasons I could write a full page. However I will settle for one and that is "SHARING" Sharing ideas, sharing friendships, sharing a love of crafting.
Yesterday I shared a creative day with friends, strangers and my wonderful group of Paper Angels. It was one of our annual ‘Paper Angels’ Christmas Card Workshops. Each year since 2008 these workshops raise funds to purchase and supply Footprint Cards to the Mater Mother's Brisbane Hospital Bereavement Programe. Sadly these cards are created so that the parents of stillborn ‘angel babies’ may take home a precious record of their child's footprint.
We started the day at 10am making 4 beautiful cards, munching on chocolate Freddo's and enjoying each other's company. Next came some sweet little treat boxes, some stunning embossed cards and then lunch. Then back for more fun and creating. Raffles were drawn and we had so many that everyone managed to go home with something.

All the Paper Angels share their creative talents by producing samples for the display board. The display boards were very popular as usual with the samples being photographed to be CASED later.
I love that we share our ideas and new techniques.

Stampin Up Convention 2013
Stampin Up Convention 2013 started with a bang literally. The entertainment started with some very nifty drumming, I'm sure my arms would have fallen off if it had been me.

One of the highlights of convention was the awarding of the Heart of Stampin Up Award to our lovely Rebecca Ross a fellow Paper Angel. It was so well deserved as she has been a true inspiration of what Stampin Up's Statement of the Heart is all about.
"To love what we do and share what we love, as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments... in this we make a difference!"
Here she is with Shelli Gardner the CEO for Stampin Up.
Then of course we had to find out about My Digital Studio (MDS) this is taking us to a different level of card making. Now if you can't drag yourself away from your computer, there is yet another reason to stay on there. We created a cute little birthday card. Can't wait to try out making calendars, scrapbook pages and invitations. I can see heaps of potential with MDS just have to explore some more.
I wish I could show you all the hundreds of displays. We had Roses made from Filter paper, punched out birds in DSP nests and heaps and heaps of cards.
Stampin Up excels themselves each year with entertainment, prizes, displays and a great program. This is my second one and I am happily exhausted. I have made so many new friends and my mind is overflowing with ideas. I am not going to go on and on I will let the pictures speak the words. Needless to say I can't wait for next year when Convention is going to be in Melbourne.
Of course you can't have convention without a badge or two. So as we are Paper Angels I decided to make us all a Paper Angel. Aren't they cute. Also had to wear my little lady that I made for last year's convention. Although by the end of the week she is in need of a new hairdo.

Such a great time and such a great company to be part of.

Ideas a plenty...
I love being a Stampin Up demonstrator. We get so much support from other demonstrators and the ideas for projects is never ending. Each month all the Paper Angels get together and discuss new products, events and exchange card ideas. Two of the cards that I saw and loved have now been reproduced and added to my collection.
Notice how the bottom butterfly has been punched out of the Whisper White. Such a cute idea. The card base was made from the In colour, Summer Starfruit. I then added the layer of Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper. I punched out a Summer Starfruit Elegant Butterfly and a Rich Razzleberry Elegant Butterfly. I stamped the sentiment from the Loving Thoughts stamp set in Rich Razzleberry. The designer series paper was FREE from the Sale E Bration catalogue.
