Did the man in your life have a special Father's Day today? We have been gearing up for his special day in our last few classes.
We split the Designer Series Paper on a diagonal and added a coordinating strip between. The Fathers Day stamp came from the Geared Up Garage stamp set, we used Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Smokey Slate card.
These two are the same but by just changing the Designer Series paper it gives a totally different look. The two pieces of Burlap Ribbon was frayed behind the Best Guy Ever stamp from the retired Suite Sentiments stamp set.
I'm rather a fan of this Designer Series Paper. The night of Navy strip was embossed with the corrugated embossing folder, we used the Taylored Tag punch for the sentiment.

Our male cards
I am rather excited about gears, steering wheels and cogs. All these things are on the Designer Series Paper (DSP) It has got so many great designs that my mind is buzzing with ideas. My first class this year kicked off with male cards using the Geared Up Garage bundle.
Our first card All Geared Up uses a strip of DSP and then the bottle from our Bubble Over stamp set and matching die, stamped in Pumpkin pie. This was raised up on the DSP strip. The oil can and tool box were stamped in Momento Black ink. I love how we can mix black and white with colour and it all just goes together.
This Soft Suede card was a favourite of everyones. The cogs on the Whisper White card were created by using a cut out of the cogs die. We sponged over this and then sponged up the edges with Soft Suede. We then cut another set of cogs in Soft Suede, snipped two of them to pop under the sentiment and the larger ones to tuck in the top corner. This one was easier than it looks and everyone was very pleased with their finished card.
Lastly we made this card using the Stamperatus, it was so much easier to line up the car and have it in the right place. Oh I do love our newest tool, the stamperatus is definitely a favourite. We stamped all the images in Black Momento Ink, 2 on Smokey Slate and 2 on Merry Merlot. Adheared them on to a Smokey Slate base, then again using the Stamparatus we stamped the sentiment on a strip of Whisper White, popped it on to a strip of Black and this was then added to the centre of the card with dimensionals.
All in all, 3 very different male cards made with this fabulous Geared Up Garage bundle. This bundle is in the Occasionals catalogue, which is available till the end of March. This is our Sale-a-Bration time, so make the most of it and receive FREE products with a qualifying order.

Card Classes are starting
Happy New Year to all the crafters out there. Classes are finally starting back up again. The first one is on Friday evening the 1st February. I have been very excited about some of the new products that I have been playing with over the last few weeks. I absolutely love one of the stamp sets that is all about our men. It has oil slicks, petrol cans, cars, cogs and tool boxes.

We are launched...
My Occasionals Catalogue Launch is now over. Lovely people, lovely products and lovely food all adds up to a lovely morning. I had thought that we would play inside the studio and eat outside, however the weather here is hot, hot, hot. So the air was cranked up and we spent the entire morning inside.
We moved around the table from station to station, creating 4 gift cards and envelopes.
Then ended with decorating a box for all the gift cards to be popped into.
When everyone arrived they received a goodie bag which had been created with pages from the old Holiday Catalogue.
The displays were set up and ready for the ladies to play with.
Phew!
What a great morning. Then some yummy food and time to scour the catalogue.
Of course this is the best time of year to order, as for every $90 ordered they get a FREE product. Head on over to my Online shop if you too want some FREE products.

A selection of cards
We have had some lovely classes lately, although we missed some of our dear friends that haven't been able to make it for a while. Hopefully they will be back with us soon. These are some of the cards we have been making over the last few weeks.

We have the men covered...
It is so hard sometime not to put bling and ribbons on everything, however we managed to restrain ourselves and create three lovely, simple male cards. Although I recon I'd be happy to receive any of them as well.
Each card we used Crumb Cake ink to create our background. The edge of each card was masked to allow for a clean border and then we chose the stamps to use.
This card we used the new Tree rings stamp set, then drew around the edge to form a fancy border. The sentiment is one of our new punches and the Crumb Cake card was punched out using our new Starburst punch. This punch is going to be one of my favourites, I think.
This next card we used a retired stamp set called Nailed It. As you can see we used the same sentiment and punch. Once again framing it with the scribbly lines.
I'm not sure which card is my favourite, but this one we used my good old faithful background stamp called Hardwood. This is such a popular stamp set and I love it.
Such a lovely morning with some lovely ladies. If you want to join in the fun of a class or just to purchase any of these stamps and punches, please email me.
If you just want to purchase the products, you can do so online and get them delivered straight to your door.

Beautiful You - Wednesday class
Gosh can you believe it is May already. Another few weeks and it will be Christmas in July classes. Well until then let's make the most of our time doing what we love with stamps, ink and paper.
This Wednesday we will be making cards using one of my favourite stamps set, Beautiful You. I have made up these cards for a colour challenge with Colour INKspiration and decided I liked them so much that I would have them as this weeks class.
This is what we shall be making.
We will be water colouring this card.
We will be fussy cutting this card.
(For those that wanted to know how I did the skirt. I stamped the image on our White envelope paper that is now retired and then used the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to stamp each colour layer, just moving it slightly each time. Then I just cut the circle in half, folded in half, then in half again, then in half yet again. Unfolded and stuck down sides but left a few pieces loose with just a glue dot holding it down, I tucked the waist under to form a curve)
We will be using our Stitched Shapes Framelits dies on this card and leaving it blank for those that may want a male version.
So do these cards excite you? If you would like to attend this class and make these 3 gorgeous cards, please let me know as soon as possible as places are filling fast.

Chalkboards: Not Just for Teachers
The popular chalkboard technique is super simple and will wow your friends when you give them a card done with this technique.
Take a look at the video as Andrea, one of our Stampin' Up! trainers shows us how to do this classic technique, and make your next card for someone extra special.
If you would like to attend a class on this technique, then stay tuned as I will be planning to use it in one of your upcoming classes!

Shaving Foam technique class
What a silly day we had today. Shaving foam everywhere, even on our eyebrows, cards upside down, giggles every 5 minutes. Yep that was my Shaving Foam technique class today. If you would like to join me I will be having it again on Wednesday morning and evening. I can't promise that you will stay clean or that everything will go to plan, BUT, you will have fun!!
You will make 3 gorgeous, unique cards using the Shaving Foam technique and of course I have put my little twist on it.
The cost of this class is $10.
I will need to know numbers, so that I can cut up the kits.

All-Season Season of Cheer
At first glance, our Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper, from the 2015 holiday catalogue, may seem decisively Christmas. But if you take another look, there’s so much more you can do!
Check out these three non-Christmas cards, all using the Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper. I especially love the Birthday Card, it is so bright and cheerful and would suit either male or female.
