Life can sometimes be fantastic and sometimes be very trying. It is the trying times that we all need to know that there is someone out there that cares.
A friend in my Paper Angels group has asked for donations of Birthday Cards for her Faded Feathers . Please check out the link to see what Faded Feathers is all about. In a very short sentence it is for the local Respite Centres for Alzheimer's/Dementia clients to give to Carers.
I was having a big clean up the other day and decided to remake some of my cards into Birthday cards for this purpose.
In the New Year I plan to have some days set aside to make some more Birthday Cards and would be thrilled if anyone would like to join me in my studio and help with this project. Either bring your own card stock or I am happy to supply. Let me know if you would like to participate.

Update on Christmas Card Workshop
My last post about the Charity Christmas Card Workshop that the Paper Angels runs every year has a mistake on the Pine Rivers date and venue. If you are planning to attend the Pine Rivers workshop the correct details are.....
Sunday 20th October, Pine Rivers Bears Rugby League Club, Petrie.
Rebecca Ross is the convener of this workshop so please email her if you have any questions.
I will be at the Canossa one and also the Wellington Point one so if you haven't already booked then now is the time. You will have a fun day and you will take home15 projects and maybe some great raffle prizes.

Make a difference while having fun
Tag It is the Ronald McDonald House Charity stamp set. Each year Stampin* Up! has a stamp set designed as the Ronald McDonald House Charity stamp set. To date, Stampin' Up! have donated over US$1 million to RMHC.
I'm so happy that Australia now gets to be part of Stampin' Up!'s sponsorship of this charity. $3 from each set sold will be donated to our Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Ronald McDonald House provides a ‘home-away-from-home’ for families of children with serious illness. These families often have to spend birthdays, Christmas, anniversaries and so on living in the house. So I would like to help by making packs of cards for the house families to use.
What's in it for me?
Being surrounded by a group of ladies willing to spare some time out of their busy lives to help a very worthy cause.
What's in it for you?
Getting a warm and fuzzy feeling for helping support RMHC, with the bonus of getting card classes for free.
Would you like to buy the Tag It Stamp set?
Head over to my online shop or call me and place an order.
I haven't set a date for this event yet as I would like to know numbers first. Please let me know if you are interested in coming. I am open to day, night or weekends.

I am inviting everyone to come and make cards with me. I will supply all the card and embellishments. All I ask of you is to bring glue. Stay as long as you like. What's in it for me?

Here is a little overview of what Quota is all about.
Quota International of Carindale is a service organization whose focus is to assist the Speech and Hearing Impaired and address the needs of Disadvantaged Women and Children. Quota International was one of the first professional women’s organisations founded in the United States. Our club also participates at an international level by financially supporting worthy projects, such as the Quota house for destitute women and children in New Delhi, India. To find out the full story of Quota check out their website.
So if you have nothing to do on Sunday 14 October, come along to the Carina Bowls Club and make a day of it. You will also be supporting two very worthy causes.
