A busy month of classes

Today was a full house, but loads of fun. We created 8 Christmas cards with a bit of a twist. One of my ladies had asked if we could do a One Sheet wonder technique, so I thought this would make a great way to showcase this technique. We used an A4 sheet of Whisper White and created our own Christmas background. We sponged, stamped masked and used bleach to stamp. Once our background was created we cut up the sheet to create our 8 cards.

If anyone would like instructions on my One Sheet Wonder I would be happy to send the instructions, all you need to do is email me.

This is the sheet I created before it was cut up. Can you see the stamp sets we used.?

Here are the eight cards we made, the beauty of this type of technique is that each one is unique.

Changes to Stamp a Stack and Christmas in July and One Sheet Wonder class

Yep you read it right, my next class is all of the above. Before we get started we will create our card background using the One Sheet Wonder technique. This will give us a complete A4 decorated sheet of card stock. We will then cut up the card for our Stamp a Stack. We will be making 8 cards and because so many have asked when I am doing Christmas cards, so I decided to make a Christmas in July event.

Yes I know July will be over by the time we have the classes, I am going to pretend it is July!!! I'm good at pretending, how about you?

Thanks for the silliness...

Friday classes should be renamed maybe I should call it the Naughty Night. It must be the end of the week that brings out all the naughty, silliness in my ladies. Thanks ladies it was a great night and we even managed to make 12 beautiful cards. There was a new lady in the group as well, welcome and I think you will fit in perfectly.

What do you think of our lovely stamp a stack cards? If you would like to join in my Friday class or my Wednesday ones send me an email and I will add you to my invite list.

Inspiration for this card came from our very talented Teneale Williams

Click on the images to enlarge.

I love Festive Flurries stamps and the matching framelits. These cards were inspired by Deena Boos another very talented demonstrator.

All the DSP I used came from the Festival of Prints stack. Such a great pack and it doesn't have to be used for Christmas themes. I used 4 of my favourite card colours, Wild Wasabi, Crumb Cake, Midnight Muse and Cherry Cobbler.

What have I been doing?

I suppose you have all been wondering what has become of me. Sorry if you are feeling neglected. I have been away on holidays with my husband and friends. We had planned a trip across the Simpson Desert but unfortunately we were involved in a head on collision. Yes, we are all ok!
Our car was not as lucky it was a write off and it has taken quite a while to get back from the Northern Territory and sort out insurance cover etc.

My classes for the Christmas in July, Stamp a stack will be done next month hopefully so if anyone is wanting to participate give me a buzz or email me.

Here are some shots we took during the first two weeks of our holiday. We have some awesome photos and lots of great memories and we will try to cross the desert another time.

Check back soon and I'll let you know when the classes will be.

Christmas is over

Is she crazy?
I know, I know, it's July not December.
My Samp a stack Christmas in July sessions are now over.  We had so much fun and produced heaps of lovely cards. As this was my first Christmas in July I decided to dress up the room for the event. So out came all the Christmas decorations. I sprinkled stars down the middle of the table and also punched out snow flakes and embossed them in various Christmas glitters.
I also made a cute little gift for everyone. Well what is Christmas without pressies? The design of these was thanks to fellow Paper Angel Anna Wheaton. She handed these out as swaps at Convention. Thanks Anna. I popped Kisses in my packages.
