Owls are always a winner

The children's class was a great success. They just love Owls and they all make them look so different just by changing the position of the eyes.

Firstly we made a cute paper pieced card.

Next came the fridge magnet calendar. It is so funny the things that makes children ooh and ahh! As soon as they saw the little calendar they all squealed. It's so nice to see children so excited and interested. Of course this one had an owl on as well as the little calendar so there were extra squeals of delight.

Finally we made a gift card, once again with a cute wee owl.

I love doing the children's classes during the school holidays, they always have such a great time. Although now I think it is time for a glass of wine, feet up or even a nana nap.

Card#5

Oops sorry I thought I had posted this.
Well this is the last of my top 5 favourites from the new catalogue. There were so many to choose from and of course I don't have them all yet. My wish list gets longer by the day. Why not organise a workshop with a few friends and I can show you all the great projects I have been working on so far.

This card was made from the new Coordinations cardstock. It has a different coloured core, so on sanding it back you get a different coloured layer. Using it with the new Woodgrain embossing folder it gives a really life like look of tree bark.

This is a cute little card as it is folded in an uneven gate fold and the Owl sits over the opening and is held together with a scallop oval. Gee I didn't explain that very well. Sorry!! I hope the picture below shows it better than I described it.

I sponged the Pacific Point circle to make it look like the sky behind him.

I hope you enjoyed my top five.

Stay tuned as I am going to be holding a couple of childrens workshops over the school holidays, so if you are interested email me or phone to book in.

ALSO don't forget if you want to take part in the Paper Angels Christmas Card Workshop you will need to book in soon as some of the venues are already full.

Invitations to 'owl about

Ha ha bet you wondered what you were looking at with a title like that. I was just trying to be a wee bit creative. I made these invitations for a very sweet little one year old.

Isn't it just the cutest. I really love the Builder owl punch. Of course I couldn't just hand them over in a plastic bag so I decided to try and recycle some of our yards and yards of brown paper that we get with our packaging. I made the paper bag and then using the Simply Scored plate I scored and pleated the top of the bag and then pulled it together like a fan. Then with the Big Shot (did I mention I love my Big Shot) I cut out some flowers from the Fun Flowers Bigz L die and added to the front.
Card stock: Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Early Expresso, Whister White
Designer Series paper: Pocketful of Posies
Tools: Owl builder punch, Big Shot, Fun Flowers Bigz L die, Paper Crimper
