We had a great Wednesday morning cad class and made some lovely cards that were all slightly different. We started out a bit differently, instead of creating one card at a time, The Retiform base was created first, a little bit like a one sheet wonder but this time it was a half sheet wonder.
This was the sponging and masking part done. We used Crumb Cake and Soft Sky.
This was the stamping part done, I used the Awesomely Artistic stamp set. This was the base completed for 3 cards. Some of the ladies used 2 different stamp sets and decided to cut their card first and then stamp.
The first card was layered on to a pice of Crumb Cake and then on to Soft Sky base. The happy Birthday came from the Happy Birthday thinlits die, which is part of one of the bundles that I couldn't resist.
Finally the last card, it was mounted on a Crumb Cake base. The little strip of Soft Sky was run through the Woodgrain embossing folder. The sentiment was stamped in Crumb cake and then layered using the Layering Ovals Framelits.
The cards that everyone made were so individual and I loved what they all did with them. Here are some of them. Aren't they just so unique?
That looks like a fun technique Zena!
ReplyDeleteThanks Anna, everyone had a great time. I'd like to try a few more types of Retiform
