Let's start at the very beginning - Day 35

Another card we made a few weeks ago. Love how all the different DSP's coordinate together.

Now add the Very Vanilla Seam Binding ribbon and we have stepped it up a notch. I love this Moonlight DSP stack and I'm sad to see that it is retiring. If you would like to grab it at a bargain price then head on over to my Online Shop.  It was $11.95 and is now $5.98 while stocks last.

Let's start at the very beginning - Day 34

We are moving on to using embellishments. Ribbon and Pearls, just add that extra little touch, take it  up a step.  I love a plain and simple card and we've done a few over the last month, so let's not forget them but remember that we can always take a step up.

This card we created with only the stamp and the card stock.

Card without blink

Now we have stepped it up with stamps, cardstock, DSP and pearls. (sorry so blurry)
A Close up of pearls and DSP
Add the pearls to step it up a bit
I randomly stamped the sentiment to the right hand side only. Made banners from the cardstock and  layered it with the DSP. Then added 3 little strips of pearls on the banners.

Weekly deals 25th February - 4th March

Here we are again another lot of Weekly Deals to peruse. I love Wednesdays mornings and checking out what I need/want. Is there anything here that you need/want?

I know I am tempted with the Whisper White satin ribbon as it can be dyed to match the card colour by using either the Ink Refills or the new Blendabilities. I'm also keen on the Melon Mambo cotton ribbon as the Cotton ribbon is a new product and I quite like it. I have also been tempted in the past to get the Sequins Assortment but have held off. Well now it is very tempting.

So looks like I may be putting in an order. If you would like any of these products and want to share the postage then give me a call or email me. Of course you can always purchase any of these great products below from my Online Store at any time or call me and let me know what you need.

The Paper Players #177 - Chalkboard Technique

My first digital attempt at the Chalkboard Technique which is the theme challenge by the The Paper Players I have once again created my card using My Digital Studio. It was very easy to create the Chalkboard technique by using a few different stamps as overlays.
I used Vintage Overlays - texture 2 and Ink Splatter 6 overlaid over the Delightful Dozen Happy Birthday stamp. The paper Fill in the 21 is the same as the top of the of the card but I Zoomed it to make the stripes smaller. Love how we can do this.

Pals Paper Arts PPA186

The Pals Paper Arts colour challenge this week uses Gold, Whisper White and Island Indigo.
One of the great things about My Digital Studio is being able to manipulate the size. In this card I have added the gold of this challenge in the form of an antique brad. Then I enlarged it to make it the background for my hearts and doves.

The Whisper white background I stitched with Island Indigo. Very easily accomplisehhed in MDS. Then I added the layer of Island indigo. The hearts were punches which I colour filled and the kissing doves is a stamp as is the "I do" sentiment. All of these stamps and punches were manipulated to change their sizes. I love that aspect of MDS so much.

Head on over and take a look at the Pals Paper Arts link and see what everyone has been creating.

My Digital Studio - PPA 185

Hi to every crafter around the world. I hope that each of you had a very wonderful Christmas! Mine was fantastic, I got spoiled by my family. Today, I’m sharing my first card in the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge.

I am a hands on crafter I like to feel the paper and the card, so when My Digital Studio was released I was rather reluctant to give it a go at first. However I soon realised it has so much potential. The stamp that I used on this card has been manipulated to the size I wanted.  The zig zag stitching has also been manipulated. If I wanted to, I could print this card out and add more embellishments. How cool is that.

Stampin' Up! have a Free Trial of MDS if you want to have a little play around.

Here is my card:

Make a Statement Digital Tour Brisbane

Another wonderful event by Stampin' Up! I have just come home inspired and ready to play after attending the Make a Statement Digital Tour Brisbane "Un convention".
For those that love the feel of paper and card, and have the need to add bling and glitter everywhere, working digitally may seem a bit dull.

Well, it doesn't have to be, for the ones that like plain and simple then a card or scrapbook page can be created in a jiffy and then printed out. However I am one of those that loves adding embellishments. This is still something that can be done but the bonus of My Digital Studio (MDS) is that the stamps can be manipulated to a bigger or smaller size and so can the punches. Actually anything can be manipulated. Once a project has been created then it can be printed out and then the embellishments can be added. What a way to have your cake and eat it too!! Love it.

Now you might think MDS is only for making cards and photobooks. Not on your nelly! Check out all these cute ideas.

Having a party? Print out the invites, bottle labels, cupcake toppers, lolly bags etc
How fun is that?

Planning a wedding. Why not be individual and creative. Make your own invitations, matching place names, bonbonniere and  wedding favours. Create a guest book for the day and Thank you cards. Wow, wouldn't that be a money saver?

Then of course everyone has baby showers. Aren't these ideas cute.

Gosh I could ramble on all day about the great things you can do with MDS. So if you are a touchy feely person like me, have a go at MDS and be surprised and delighted. There is a FREE Trial that you can download, find out how useful it can be as an added tool for your hobby.
