Christmas Card Charity Workshop

I am so pleased to be able to invite you all to another Christmas Card Charity Workshop. It is held at many locations and at different dates so there should be a date on your calendar that will suit.

Those that have been before know what fun the day is and know what we are supporting with this event. If you are new and would like to know more, let me explain. Each year since 2008 the annual Paper Angels Christmas Card Workshops raise funds to purchase and supply Footprint Cards to the Hospitals Bereavement Program, we started with the Mater Hospital and we now supply Redlands, Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast.

The Mater Mother's Bereavement Support Program is provided with the materials they would need to ensure footprints of those babies who don't make it home be made into special footprint cards along with name plaques, to allow families to honour and cherish their babies.  A box full of materials needed to complete the treasured footprint card for the grieving parents, is supplied to each hospital as well as teaching the staff how to stamp the names and footprints. The card is such a small gesture, but a meaningful record that can be shared, as grieving parents come to terms with their loss.

I will be at all of these venues - Pine Rivers, Thornlands, Carina and Wellington Point. The day runs from 10am to 4pm with a break for lunch in the Bistro (please BYO cash for your lunch) and the afternoon tea will be provided. Bookings will close 2 weeks before each event to ensure enough time to order all the materials.
