"OMG - we had so much fun! 14 people in all, so you can imagine how full my little apartment looked..."
This quote came from Leisha Ward one of my team members, and the newest Stampin' Up! demonstrator, after her very first Catalogue Launch.
Little did I know when I signed up to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator that I would end up with 5 ladies in my team. I loved Stampin' Up! from the minute I attended my first workshop and saw how easy it was to match everything up. I followed my demonstrator around to as many workshops as I could and told my family that if they wanted to buy me anything, that here was the catalogue marked with what I wanted/needed.
Then I retired!!! How wonderful, I now had time to play in my studio. However I had to find a way to make my hobby affordable. So I decided to join as a Hobby Demonstrator. I joined a great team called the Paper Angels and all my Stampin' Up! purchases were now 20% cheaper. I had inspiration from all the other Angels and life was wonderful. I started having classes and doing a few workshops but I still considered myself a Hobby Demonstrator, then one day out of the blue a lady rang asking about Stampin' Up! and by the end of the day I had my first recruit. I was so excited and so scared all at the same time. Then within 6 months another person emailed me asking for information and blow me down, my second recruit.
Well I now have 5 team members and they are the loveliest ladies and very talented. Each has her own style and I think this is fantastic as we can all gain from it. Although they don't believe it when you tell them so. Leisha in particular has surprised herself on how much fun Stampin' Up! is bringing into her life. Her catalogue Launch party was a great success, it was a fun day and she sent me a few pics of the day, that I would love to share.
Here are the yummy cupcakes and projects she had prepared for her launch. Doesn't it all look like it would have been a fun day? I do.
Don't you love the card with it's matching tag?
I love this Build a Birthday Stamp Set, so many different ways you can use it.
She is not only a fabulous card maker but an excellent cook, so everyone was treated to some yummy cupcakes to eat on the day and then some all packaged up to take home.
