There are a few vacancies for this Saturday at the Christmas Card Workshop being held at the Pelicans Nautical Treasures in Redland Bay. The cost is $70 and you will receive the Festival of Trees stamp set and All is Calm washi tape as well as a whole lot of projects to make on the day, including afternoon tea. This event is amazing value and money raised goes to our Footprints Program.
Anyone that has already been to the Pelicans Nautical Treasure will know how yummy their cakes are and as a special treat they are going to give our Christmas Card Workshop guests a choice of cakes for afternoon tea, they'll be allowed to choose anything from the cake cabinet. I'm really looking forward to that as well as all the card making on the day. Please email me if you would like to attend.

The reason why...
There are many reasons why I love being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. Actually there are so many reasons I could write a full page. However I will settle for one and that is "SHARING" Sharing ideas, sharing friendships, sharing a love of crafting.
Yesterday I shared a creative day with friends, strangers and my wonderful group of Paper Angels. It was one of our annual ‘Paper Angels’ Christmas Card Workshops. Each year since 2008 these workshops raise funds to purchase and supply Footprint Cards to the Mater Mother's Brisbane Hospital Bereavement Programe. Sadly these cards are created so that the parents of stillborn ‘angel babies’ may take home a precious record of their child's footprint.
We started the day at 10am making 4 beautiful cards, munching on chocolate Freddo's and enjoying each other's company. Next came some sweet little treat boxes, some stunning embossed cards and then lunch. Then back for more fun and creating. Raffles were drawn and we had so many that everyone managed to go home with something.

All the Paper Angels share their creative talents by producing samples for the display board. The display boards were very popular as usual with the samples being photographed to be CASED later.
I love that we share our ideas and new techniques.

It also contains some lovely new stamp sets and some great Project Life goodies to record your Christmas activities. Such an easy way to catch up on all your scrapbooking.

Triple Layer stamping class
Once again my Friday class was my naughty girls evening. It must be the time when everyone finishes work for the week and lets their hair down. We always seems to giggle our way through the night and end up making gorgeous cards in the process. Thanks ladies I love you all.
Here are the cards we made for the Triple Layer stamping technique classes.
This is a lovely technique and quite easy to achieve. Basically you need 2 different size pieces of Whisper White or Very Vanilla card. These get layered onto your card base. (use just a small amount of adhesive, as the layers get pulled apart.) Choose your stamp or stamps and stamp over the 3 layers. All you need to do then is pull the layers apart and back them with a slightly larger coloured card and adhere back in place. Such a lovely technique don't you think?
Here are a few more samples of Triple Layer Stamping.
